Trainee Solicitor – Criminal
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an ambitious individual to join [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] as a Trainee Solicitor specialising in Criminal Law. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Stourbridge.
About the Role
As a Trainee Solicitor, you will be expected to undertake criminal litigation work on behalf of private and commercial clients, on a full range of Criminal Law matters. To be successful, you will need at least 6 months experience with a criminal legal department.
What the Job Involves
- Drafting, reviewing, amending and issuing legal documents with a commercial mindset.
- Support colleagues within the department, liaising with existing and new clients, working efficiently, effectively and professionally.
- Administrating client matters using SOS case management system such as file opening procedures, document preparation and formatting.
- Ensuring compliance with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality Scheme standards, SARs and accounting requirements.
What You Need
- Working towards qualifying as a solicitor, either the LPC or SQE pathway with at least 6 months experience with a fast-paced criminal department.
- Able to demonstrate practical knowledge of the Criminal Law transaction process, from inception to completion.
- Passionate about delivering excellent client service, maintaining and developing business relationships.
- Competent in using a case management system such as SOS and MS Office applications to undertake a range of administrative duties in a paper-light working environment.
