Solicitor – Private Family
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a qualified Private Family Solicitor with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience to join their expanding team in Dudley. The role involves handling predominantly Legally Aided family matters including domestic violence, private children, and finances. The ideal candidate will be passionate about client care, skilled in advocacy, and experienced with LAA applications and CCMS.

What does the job involve?
- To advise upon and conduct proceedings on a full range of predominantly Legally Aided matters.
- To secure the proper course of action and balanced and favourable judgements in cases relating to divorce, domestic violence, Children law / Children Act applications, emergency applications and orders, Special Guardianship and finances.
- Conduct advocacy on own matters and colleague’s matters if required.
- Take part in business development, specifically developing relationships with domestic violence charities.
- Assessing clients for Legal Aid and making Legal Aid applications via CCMS.
What do you need?
- To be a Qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years post qualified working experience within a Family Department handling Private Family Law maters.
- Candidates would preferably be familiar with LAA applications and assessments.
- Passionate about providing outstanding client care and service.
- Accurate and articulate in written and spoken communication with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent administrative, planning, organisation and time management as well as being proficient in a variety of IT software, including all MS Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and team working skills.
- Experience in advocacy, business development and networking.
