FULL DESCRIPTION

System Support Engineer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Ltd is seeking a System Support Engineer to join the IT Operations team. This on-site role is based in London and Gatwick, 5 days per week. You will provide 1st line technical support, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and assist with network maintenance.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing 1st line support to help users solve technical issues with their computers, both hardware and software
  • Liaising directly with end users to resolve problems
  • Working within a team to triage problems
  • Logging technical support requests over the telephone or by email
  • Using remote control tools and technologies
  • Adhering to Service Level Agreements
  • Inducting new starters
  • Documenting systems and procedures
  • Occasionally traveling to other UK offices and onsite events

What You’ll Need

  • Previous experience in an office-based role (IT or Tech Support-related role desirable)
  • Experience supporting Mac OS X in a Microsoft Windows network environment – essential
  • Experience troubleshooting software (Windows 10 and/or 11) and hardware fault diagnosis desirable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) essential; Microsoft 365 highly desirable
  • Located within a reasonable commuting time from both London and Gatwick offices
  • Ability to demonstrate practicing knowledge of Windows 10 and Mac OS X
  • Experience with and knowledge of GDPR highly desirable
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive with strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Calm, patient and empathetic approach
