Working hours and Pay rate:
- Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
- Location: Ashton-Under-Lyne, Greater Manchester
- Open Monday to Friday
- Morning Shift: 6 am - 2 pm, Friday 6 am - 1 pm
- Afternoon Shift: 2 pm - 10 pm, Friday 1 pm - 8 pm
THE ROLE
We're recruiting candidates with previous experience as a Production operative for our client based in the Ashton-Under-Lyne area, which specialises in manufacturing soft furnishings. They operate Monday to Friday, with morning or afternoon shifts. The production operative role involves operating various machines to manufacture the soft furnishing and packing finished goods on the conveyor belt. The role can also involve warehouse operative duties like picking, packing, loading, and unloading trailers with deliveries and dispatch. The role is initially part-time, with ad hoc shifts; full-time hours start in a few weeks.
THE PERSON
A successful Production Operative will have previous experience working in a similar environment or production working with machine operations. Comfortable with learning new skills to operate the machines and manufacture the products. The role involves daily targets, therefore it is beneficial if the successful candidate has previous experience in working towards targets and KPI's to ensure the operation runs smoothly and reaches its targets.
