Warehouse Manager

Salary: £45k per year | Type: Permanent | Location: Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire | Work Model: On-site

About the Role

We are proud to be working in partnership with our client in their search for a Warehouse Manager. This is a fantastic time to be involved in a rapidly growing company. This role is critical in driving efficiency, accuracy and scalability across the business, including the implementation of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS), warehouse layout optimisation, and barcode/location control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and high service levels
  • Implement and manage a new Warehouse Management System (WMS), including system setup, process design, and team training
  • Design and implement warehouse location systems, including barcode scanning and stock control processes
  • Support or lead the setup of new warehouse operations, including layout planning, workflow design and operational structure
  • Manage inventory accuracy, stock control, ordering and regular audits
  • Oversee goods in, picking, packing, and dispatch across both B2C and B2B channels
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce errors
  • Manage, train and develop warehouse staff to build a high-performing team
  • Ensure all health & safety standards are met and maintained
  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g. sales, procurement, operations) to ensure smooth order fulfilment

The Person

  • Experience in both B2C and B2B environments
  • Support or lead warehouse start-ups or major operational transformations
  • Experience in setting up warehouse location systems including barcode scanning
  • Ability to be hands on within a small team
