What you will do

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Engineer to join our Field Engineering Services Team in Leeds. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for maintaining traffic signals, signage, and other roadside technology equipment.

  • Maintaining traffic signals, signs, and roadside ITS equipment
  • Supporting commissioning and installation activities
  • Carrying out routine preventative maintenance
  • Responding to reactive faults within contractual timescales
  • Ensuring compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards
  • Representing [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] professionally on customer sites
  • Maintaining accurate service documentation and records
  • Supporting delivery of contractual KPIs and performance requirements
  • Assisting with maintaining company accreditations

What we are looking for

  • GCSEs in English, Maths & Science (or equivalent)
  • Sector 8 Accreditation ideally
  • Good understanding of traffic signal installation and basic theory
  • Knowledge of traffic controllers, signs, and associated equipment
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Organised, trustworthy, and self-motivated approach
  • Strong safety awareness
  • Full UK driving licence
