Founded in 2007, our client is an award-winning, UK-based provider of predominantly accountancy training and apprenticeships. They currently have over 500 staff based across 15 physical locations and remotely, and continue to grow rapidly. A few years ago, they secured investment from a private equity firm. Role Description

The Infrastructure Delivery Manager leads the delivery of infrastructure change programmes - spanning networking, cloud (Azure/M365), identity, endpoint management, security tooling, resilience/DR, centre fitouts and multi‑site centre technology rollouts. The ideal candidate must bring credible technical depth and the ability to direct, challenge, and coordinate specialist vendors and engineering partners.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of infrastructure programmes: network upgrades, identity modernisation, cloud and M365 platform uplift, DR and resilience improvements, security uplift.
  • Review, interpret, and challenge vendor technical designs to ensure alignment with standards.
  • Build and maintain delivery plans, RAID logs, dependency maps, change schedules, and cutover plans.
  • Manage partner engineering resources and run delivery governance.
  • Own technical delivery for new site builds, relocations, refurbishments and technology refresh cycles.
  • Ensure all projects incorporate secure‑by‑design controls and embed security configuration.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations Manager, Information Security Manager, and other teams.
  • Ensure all new services include full documentation, monitoring baselines, operational runbooks, and knowledge transfer.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience delivering complex, multi‑site IT infrastructure projects (network, cloud, identity, endpoint, security).
  • Ability to read, understand, challenge and validate technical designs across network, Azure/M365/Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Identity and Zero Trust.
  • Demonstrable experience coordinating specialist engineers and third‑party delivery partners.
  • Strong project delivery skillset (waterfall/agile hybrid) with structured documentation.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to company centres when required.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a multi-site educational or regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, and secure-by-design.
  • Project management certifications (Prince2, AgilePM, PMP).
