Key Job Role Information

  • Role: Female Support workers
  • Location: Bury
  • Salary: £14.65 per hour inclusive of holiday entitlement
  • Shifts: 08:00 – 20:00 days and 20:00 – 08:00 Waking Nights
  • Expected hours: From 24 hours per week

Key Role Essentials and Responsibilities

  • Full UK drivers’ licence required
  • Competent verbal and written English
  • Must have experience within health and social care settings

Meet the Person You’ll Be Supporting

Who am I? I am a Lady in my 30s

What challenges do I have? I have Learning Disabilities, and Di George Syndrome, I do have some challenging behaviours and do struggle with my mental health. I do need some prompting with some aspects of personal care.

What do I Enjoy? I love arts and crafts especially painting, I do enjoy walking and helping others. I do love animals and going out being social.

What activities do I do? I like going to the pub with my friends, and being active, I have done some volunteering which I enjoyed. As well as attending drama groups.

What types of people do I get along with? I want my staff to be friendly and understanding. I do need prompting and boundaries being set clearly to help me. Being able to build positive relationships and be as independent as possible

My Goals: being as independent as possible feeling safe and supported.

My Team

  • How many people support me at one time? I’m supported on a 2-1 basis both on the days and waking nights
  • What shift patterns do my team do? My shift patterns is a Long Day 08:00 am – 20:00 and Waking night 20:00 – 08:00
