About the Role
Reporting into the Operations (HSE) Director the Senior Regional Operations HSE Manager will act as the regional authority and point of accountability for Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management across [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s operational data center campuses within EMEA.
Representing [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s HSE standards and expectations, the role provides leadership, assurance, and subject-matter expertise to campus operations teams and service partners, ensuring a consistent, compliant, and high-performing approach to operational HSE delivery.
This is a regional role requiring regular travel between live data center campuses across EMEA
Main Responsibilities
- Operational HSE Leadership & Assurance – Act as the regional operational HSE authority for assigned campuses, providing oversight and assurance of HSE performance. Ensure effective implementation of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s Operational HSE requirements across all live data center facilities. Provide clear guidance and direction to campus operations teams on HSE matters, supporting safe and compliant operational delivery.
- HSE Framework Plan Ownership – Own and manage the Operations HSE Framework Plan for assigned campuses, including input, gap analysis, evidence review and closure. Act as the regional point of contact for Framework Plan performance, assurance activities and ongoing compliance monitoring.
- Vendor Governance & Contractor Management – Lead HSE governance of Facilities Management (FM) service partners, including performance monitoring, audits, non-conformance management and corrective action tracking. Challenge and escalate where vendor capability or performance presents risk to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], its clients or statutory compliance. Support effective contractor management arrangements across campuses, aligned to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s HSE expectations.
- Statutory & Regulatory Compliance – Maintain oversight of statutory Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across multiple EMEA jurisdictions. Ensure appropriate monitoring of local legislative requirements and that regulatory reporting obligations are fulfilled in line with local and regional requirements.
- Incident & Emergency Management – Provide regional oversight of operational incident management, including incident investigation, root cause analysis and implementation of lessons learned. Support emergency preparedness arrangements, including review and assurance of Emergency Response Plans and participation in drills and exercises.
- Management Systems & Audit – Support campus alignment with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s HSQE Management System and applicable ISO standards (e.g. ISO 45001, ISO 14001). Contribute to audit programmers, management reviews and corrective action follow-up to ensure continual improvement.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement – Act as a key regional HSE interface for clients, supporting audits, assurance activities, incident response coordination and due diligence engagements. Build strong working relationships with internal operational stakeholders, service partners and clients to promote collaboration and confidence in [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s HSE capability.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a senior or regional HSE role within a complex operational environment.
- Experience working within the data center, critical infrastructure or similar high-risk operational industry across multiple countries.
- Strong working knowledge of EMEA HSE legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience in vendor governance, contractor management and assurance activities.
- Professional Health & Safety qualification to graduate level or equivalent (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or similar).
- Background working closely with Facilities Management or operational service providers.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across EMEA.
