Real Estate Paralegal

Job Description

We are seeking a paralegal to join our Real Estate team, with the unique opportunity to work as an embedded member of the department. You will provide hands-on support directly to fee-earners, gaining in-depth exposure to Real Estate matters and becoming an integral part of the wider team. Our Real Estate paralegals have dedicated fee-earners who offer personalised support to aid your development. As a Paralegal at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you will act as a key point of contact for lawyers and support staff.

Responsibilities

  • Handle your own caseload of files from instruction to enforcement under supervision.
  • Undertake fee earning work: draft client documentation, client care correspondence, maintain client relationships, draft court documentation, attend meetings and take minutes.
  • Deal with routine client enquiries and communications.
  • Perform administrative tasks including monthly reporting and invoicing.
  • Deputise for fee earners in their absence.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Law Degree or Law Conversion with 2:1 classification.
  • Previous Paralegal experience in a commercial law firm, preferably in Real Estate (full training provided).
  • Committed team player.
  • Confident verbal and written communication.
  • IT knowledge with focus on Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to identify client needs and provide excellent service.
  • Effective prioritisation skills.
  • Positive attitude towards change and departmental goals.
  • Enthusiasm and resilience.

Working Conditions & Benefits

Full-time, Monday to Friday 9-5:30. Hybrid working with minimum 60% office time. Salary: £26,228 per annum rising to £27,228 after 1 year. Annual performance-based bonus. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with service. Pension scheme with 6% employer contribution. Death in service benefit of 4x salary.
