Role Overview
The Research Assistant provides hands-on support across research projects, data preparation, content creation, and insight development. This role is ideal for someone data-driven, analytical, organised, curious, and excited about enterprise technology, digital transformation, and market insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Research & Analysis: Conduct desk research on B2B technology markets; gather and validate information from analyst reports, vendor materials, surveys, and industry sources; track vendor announcements; support preparation of research briefs.
- Data Collection & Insight Extraction: Assist with managing [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] taxonomy and tagging structures across WordPress sites; compile weekly engagement insights (GA4, WordPress analytics); extract data points and convert into visuals or summaries.
- Content Support: Draft short research summaries, data-led insights, and supporting paragraphs; help format research outputs including charts, tables, and presentations; assist preparing content for surveys, newsletters and insight briefs.
- Project Support & Administration: Organise research references and knowledge repositories; support project timelines; coordinate with Marketing, Editorial, and Commercial; maintain research calendars.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong written communication skills
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
- Comfortable working with data in spreadsheets or basic analytics tools
- Ability to research reliably using online sources
- Organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple tasks
- Interest in enterprise technology markets (AI, UC, CX, cloud, digital workplace)
Nice to Have
- Experience with WordPress, GA4, Looker Studio, or similar tools
- Experience producing reports, insights, or structured research deliverables
- Background in business, marketing, data, journalism, or similar
