FULL DESCRIPTION

Workshop Facilitator

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking freelance workshop facilitators to support young women and non-binary people in STEAM. This contract role offers £14–£17 per hour and involves travel across the UK for virtual, hybrid, and physical events.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting young women and non-binary people in STEAM, empowering them to make informed choices
  • Setting up resources before attendees arrive
  • Registering attendees on the day
  • Encouraging attendees with their ideas
  • Facilitating group discussions
  • Capturing content for social media
  • Travelling to and from venues across the UK, with travel expenses covered

Qualities

  • Basic understanding of the STEAM industry

  • Demonstrable ability to multitask
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with under-engaged girls

Additional Details

  • You will report to School Stemette and will not directly manage other members of staff.
  • Dates will be pre-agreed, and Workshop [Employer hidden] will typically be given a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice ahead of running workshops.
  • The overall contract will be in line with experience and capabilities, reflecting [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’ charity status and expectations from our partners.
  • You will be mostly on-site but may also work from home for our digital events.
  • We pay £14-£17 per hour, depending on your experience and the roles you undertake.
