MSK Physiotherapist - Occupational Health

Location: Bristol, BS35/Hybrid

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hrs/week)

Work Type: Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)

Role Summary

You will work two days onsite (1pm–9pm) supporting an e-commerce client in Bristol as the sole physiotherapist, carrying out assessments and treatment. On other days, you will work remotely (08:30–16:30) undertaking case management including telephone assessments, exercise plan reviews, and clinical reports.

About Occupational Health Physiotherapists

Occupational Health Physiotherapy focuses on the relationship between health and work, identifying barriers to work. You will use core clinical skills to assess and manage patients in line with NICE guidelines, HCPC standards, and CSP best practice, with a biopsychosocial approach. Interventions include education, movement, and exercise-based rehabilitation. You will also produce reports for employers on functional capacity and workplace adjustments.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to employees (remote or face-to-face).
  • Identify and advise on workplace hazards contributing to MSK disorders.
  • Conduct workplace assessments (DSE or work-based tasks).
  • Maintain clinical objectivity and impartiality in line with occupational health guidance.
  • Deliver evidence-based rehabilitation adhering to national clinical standards.
  • Utilise a biopsychosocial approach with functional assessment to address work barriers.

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required

  • Clinical Physiotherapy Qualification.
  • Full Member of CSP & Registered member of HCPC (essential).
  • Post-graduate training in Occupational Health/Ergonomics.
  • Previous experience or interest in Occupational Health Physiotherapy.
  • Experience providing functional assessment and fitness for work advice.
  • Driver license & access to a vehicle.
