Location: King Street, Norwich | Salary: £27,000 - £28,500 yearly | Type: Permanent, Full Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and legal support to the Residential, Commercial and New Homes Property teams
  • Support the progression of a wide range of property matters, including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, shared ownership leases and staircasing transactions, commercial leases, deeds and ancillary property documentation
  • Assist with drafting, title investigations and due diligence (with appropriate supervision)
  • Support senior team members to ensure matters progress efficiently and to deadlines
  • Respond to general legal enquiries and escalate appropriately where technical input is required
  • Contribute to cross‑team projects, including legal due diligence and title reviews linked to charging and securitisation programmes
  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records on the case management system to support governance and reporting
  • Work with the Legal Operations Team to help improve processes and identify efficiencies
  • Consider the wider commercial and operational impact of legal issues on the organisation

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Educated to A‑Level standard (or equivalent) or at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Practical understanding of property law, including drafting documents and carrying out due diligence (with supervision)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing and changing priorities
  • High‑quality written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal issues clearly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision and collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • A proactive, positive approach to learning and problem‑solving

Desirable

  • Experience working in an in‑house legal team or property‑related environment
  • Exposure to residential, commercial or development property matters
  • Understanding of the housing sector and how legal work supports asset management and funding
