Junior Editorial Chef

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Restaurant Group is looking for a talented Junior Editorial Chef to assist on the planning and delivery of the rapidly growing publishing arm of the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group, with Substack as the core focus.

Location: London (Support Office)

Job Type: Full time, Temporary

Salary: Competitive industry pay

Key Responsibilities

  • Build out the pipeline of content for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Chefs Substack.
  • Research each topic both from a [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]/Jack/Will history point of view and from a food science point of view.
  • Manage budgets and ordering for all recipe testing.
  • Test and rework relevant recipes to ensure they are relevant for a domestic context.
  • Ensuring all content is delivered on a strict timeline and to brand standards.
  • Oversee the full Substack subscriber experience including fleshing out the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Chefs profile, updating notes and engaging with the chat.
  • Work in conjunction with other internal teams including chefs and social content creators to manage Substack promotion.

About You

  • Proven experience as a highly competent cook.
  • Proven experience as an excellent written communicator.
  • The ability to adopt a written tone other than your own.
  • Excellent organisational and scheduling skills.
  • The ability to adapt based on the needs of a fast paced restaurant environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication ability.
  • Experience adapting recipes and a strong demonstration of food science and technique understanding.
