FULL DESCRIPTION

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is hiring an Installation Engineer (Labourer) for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], part of the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career within the fuel infrastructure industry. You will work alongside an experienced Lead Engineer, assisting in the installation of pipework and associated systems on petrol forecourts across the UK. Location: Ideally based in Birmingham South region. Frequent travel and overnight stays required. Additional Pay: Overtime and additional benefit payments are payable in addition to base salary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Engineer in all aspects of installation works
  • Support the installation of pipework, fuel pumps and dispensers
  • Prepare work areas and manage materials and equipment safely
  • Assist with testing and documentation of pipework systems
  • Carry out basic building works (including breaking out concrete) to facilitate installations
  • Install chamber systems including ModuLers and seals (Mono and Fibrelite systems)
  • Install tank gauge cabling, including minor excavation and reinstatement works
  • Undertake small fuel infrastructure tasks such as overfill prevention valve replacements, line testing, fuel line repairs, probe replacements, fill cap and adaptor replacements, joint site visits during tanker deliveries
  • Work in confined spaces (e.g. tank chambers)
  • Strictly adhere to Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices

Training & Development

You will receive structured training and gain experience in: installation of gauge systems including Integra, Galaxy and Veeder-Root TLS350 systems (probes, raisers, cabling, programming, testing and commissioning); installation and commissioning of DCD units (OPW and Veeder-Root); installation of emergency cabinets (OPW and Veeder-Root); interstitial and dual-contained monitoring systems; accident damage pump replacement.

Formal Training Includes: CSCS, UKPIA, SMSTS, Confined Space Training, Health & Safety Qualification, Forklift Certification.
