We specialise in the home mover market, providing broadband, energy, water and Sky services. We currently serve over 61,000 customers, with a clear growth strategy to exceed 100,000 customers within the next 1–2 years.
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior, commercially focused Financial Controller to lead and control the financial management of the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. This is a group-level, senior management role, reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the executive leadership team. The role combines hands-on leadership of finance operations with strategic insight, acquisition support, and senior-level decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Senior Business Partnering: Act as a senior finance partner to the CFO, CEO, and senior leadership team. Deliver financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario modelling. Own group budgeting, reforecasting, and financial planning. Produce monthly reporting with narrative and variance analysis.
- Finance Team Leadership: Lead, develop and mentor the finance team. Embed a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement. Strengthen collaboration between finance and the wider business.
Core Competencies & Skills
- Technical & Professional: Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Proven experience in a Financial Controller role, ideally in a fast-growth or acquisition-led environment. Strong knowledge of consolidation, cashflow forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling and controls. Advanced Excel capability. Sage 200 experience desirable.
- Leadership & Commercial: Commercially astute, analytical, confident at senior management level. Able to balance hands-on delivery with strategic thinking. Comfortable in a fast-paced organisation. Strong communicator.
- Personal Attributes: Proactive, resilient, self-motivated. Positive, personable, with strong stakeholder-management skills. Thrives in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
