Role Definition
The Goods In Issuing Senior Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the raw material issuing operation within the Goods In area, commonly referred to as the 'Tables'. This role ensures that all raw materials are accurately allocated, split, scanned, and issued to production lines in line with the production plan. The role requires strong organisation, stock control knowledge, and the ability to manage a fast‑paced environment with multiple job numbers, product priorities, and high volumes of material movement.

Key Responsibilities
Issuing Operation Control
- Take full responsibility for the issuing operation supplying raw material to production.
- Ensure materials are split correctly to the required kilogram quantities per job number.
- Oversee scanning accuracy to maintain full traceability.
- Ensure production lines receive the correct material at the correct time.
Stock Ownership
- Maintain full oversight of stock within the issuing area.
- Ensure pallets are correctly allocated according to planning instructions.
- Manage priority pallets based on life, shelf life, and production requirements.
- Ensure stock movements are accurately recorded within the system.
Allocation & Planning Coordination
- Work closely with the planning team to understand the daily production plan.
- Ensure correct allocation of raw materials to the correct production jobs.
- Identify shortages or allocation issues early and escalate where necessary.
Returns & Stock Control
- Manage returns of unused raw materials from production.
- Ensure returned materials are correctly scanned back into stock.
- Maintain strict control of traceability when handling returns.
Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise the issuing team working in the tables area.
- Ensure staff understand job priorities and issuing requirements.
- Support training and development of team members in scanning and stock control procedures.
Operational Efficiency
- Ensure issuing operations run efficiently despite high job volume.
- Organise workflow to minimise delays to production lines.
- Monitor workload and deploy labour effectively.
Compliance & Traceability
- Ensure all issuing activities follow traceability procedures.
- Guarantee that scanning compliance is maintained at all times.
- Ensure adherence to site stock control procedures.
Health, Safety & GMP
- Ensure the issuing area is maintained to high safety and hygiene standards.
- Promote safe manual handling practices when handling heavy trays and pallets.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Communication & Escalation
- Communicate clearly with production supervisors, planners, and warehouse teams.
- Escalate stock issues, shortages, or system discrepancies immediately.
- Provide updates to management on stock status and operational challenges.
Personal Specification
- Strong understanding of warehouse stock control processes.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple job numbers and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience using scanning systems and warehouse software.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
Pay Rate & Shift Pattern
£15.60 Per Hour, various shifts available (Days & Backs), 40 hours per week.
