Job Description
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s Optometry division is currently working in partnership with a well-established independent optical practice to recruit an experienced Optical Practice Manager based in Grimsby.
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly regarded, community-focused practice known for delivering exceptional levels of patient care and service. The Role
As Practice Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring the delivery of a consistently high standard of clinical and customer care. You will lead and support the team, driving performance while maintaining a strong focus on the overall patient journey.
You will play a key role in developing the practice further, building on its loyal patient base and contributing to its continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational aspects of the practice, including team leadership, rota management and ensuring efficient day-to-day performance.
- Coach, mentor and develop staff to create a positive and high-performing team culture.
- Ensure the practice consistently delivers an outstanding patient experience, maintaining high standards across both clinical and retail environments.
- Understand commercial performance, including sales and operational targets, to support ongoing growth of the business.
Working Pattern
This is a part-time position (4 days per week) with no Sunday or evening requirements, offering an excellent work-life balance.
Requirements
- Previous experience within an optical setting, ideally in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Strong leadership skills, commercial awareness and a patient-focused approach.
- Effective communicator, highly organised and confident in managing both people and processes within a busy practice environment.
