Job Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are currently looking for a Qualified Associate Dentist to work within a busy up to date Dental surgery based in Hinckley. This is a well-run, professional practice with a friendly, qualified team in place to support you now and in your future dental career.

Main Purpose

To work with communities in preventing and treating dental/oral diseases, correcting dental irregularities, and treating dental/facial injuries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose diseases and prepare comprehensive treatment plans
  • Prescribe and provide endodontic procedures.
  • Provide oral health advice and aftercare.
  • Carry out treatment for patients under general anesthesia.
  • Prescribe medicines as part of dental treatment.
  • Prescribe and interpret radiographs (within GDC Scope of Practice).

Main Duties

  • Regularly review and follow practice policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional registration, indemnity, and insurance.
  • Meet Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
  • Treat patients with empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with team members.
  • Make referrals to other professionals when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and team.
  • Obtain valid patient consent before treatment.
  • Stay aligned with current regulations (CGDent, SDCEP, NICE).
  • Promote good oral health.
