Role Overview
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the practice, ensuring the delivery of outstanding clinical and customer service standards. You will lead from the front, driving performance, supporting your team and maintaining a strong focus on the overall patient journey. This role requires a commercially aware and people-focused leader who can balance operational efficiency with a high standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading, coaching and developing the practice team
- Managing rotas, staffing levels and holiday planning
- Overseeing diary management and booking efficiency
- Monitoring KPIs, managing budgets and maintaining effective stock control
- Ensuring operational and compliance standards are consistently met
- Delivering an exceptional patient experience at every touchpoint
Requirements
- GOC-registered Dispensing Optician (FBDO qualified)
- Previous experience in a leadership or management capacity
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to motivate and develop a team
Package & Benefits
- Competitive salary up to £43,000
- Full-time, 40 hours over 5 days, no Sundays
- 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays and birthday day off
