Job Description
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Optometry are currently working on behalf of a leading independent optical group in Gloucestershire to recruit a passionate and clinically focused Optometrist.
This small group of practices has been delivering high-quality eye care for over 60 years and continues to grow through community trust, exceptional service, and advanced clinical capabilities. With testing times of 35 minutes and no commercial pressure or sales targets, the role offers a truly patient-first approach.
The Opportunity:
- Full-time, Alternate Saturdays – hours are 9:00 – 12:30 – (no Sundays or late evenings)
- 35-minute testing times
- No sales targets or tie-ins to specific manufacturers
- Modern practices with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment
- Access to enhanced services including cataract, glaucoma, paediatrics, and retinal screening
- Specialist equipment including computer-controlled charts, Cerium Colorimeter, and Thomson ReadEZ
- All Clinical Assistants and Dispensing staff are fully qualified or undergoing training – Complete Pre-screening and additional tests as much as possible e.g. visual fields, Optomap, OCT, Pulsair.
- Opportunity to develop further in clinical specialties

- Salary circa £60,000 (pro rata if part-time)
