Duties

• Assisting members in choosing eyeglass frames and lens options according to the lens prescription
• Measuring members’ pupillary distance
• Processing orders including payment
• Checking contact lenses and completed eyeglasses against prescription prior to dispensing
• Fitting and adjusting eyeglasses to member
• Ordering and stocking equipment, merchandise and supplies.
• Ensuring the department is kept clean and tidy
• Overseeing apprentices as required an additional management duties

Requirements

• Hold a BSC in dispensing Optics approved by the GOC
• Be a registered dispensing optician with the GOC
• Be service oriented – experienced in ‘going the extra mile’
• Energetic and familiar with working in a fast-paced environment
• Hold management experience
