Job Overview
As the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the successful ongoing operations of the practice in North London. This role demands charisma and exceptional leadership skills due to its high profile. You will work closely with all aspects of the business to ensure the smooth integration of the new store into our brand strategy and meet demanding customer and commercial targets. Our client is a well established, expanding Independent Group that provides premium eye care solutions, through a bespoke personal service.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively manage direct reports, including dispensing opticians, clerical staff, optometrists, and front-of-house staff.
- Build successful working relationships with optometrists, fostering collaboration and ensuring seamless coordination for the delivery of comprehensive eye care services.
- Foster a collaborative environment and establish open lines of communication with front-of-house staff to ensure a positive and efficient patient experience.
- Supervise and train junior staff to ensure high performance levels and provide ongoing development opportunities.
- Implement strategies to achieve demanding commercial targets and deliver on the investment in the new store.
- Develop and deliver training programs for the team to enhance their skills and performance.
- Design, measure, fit, and adapt lenses and frames for clients.
- Assist clients with selecting frames.
- Measure customers for eyeglasses and coordinate frames with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions.
- Prepare work orders for the optical laboratory containing instructions for grinding and mounting lenses in frames.
- Verify the exactness of finished lenses.
Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Practice Manager in an optical setting, demonstrating successful leadership and management skills.
- Ability to independently dispense lenses and frames in accordance with optical prescriptions, with a deep understanding of optical principles and technology.
