Job Summary

Assist with all aspects of the day to day running of the surgery.

Main Duties

  • Oversea daily operations of the surgery
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of services
  • Deal with patient complaints. Either verbally or supporting written complaints with the Partners
  • Induct new staff and Medical Students
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues
  • Manage projects and assignments agreed by the Partners or Senior Management Team
  • Assist in rota application and amendments
  • Assist with staffing levels
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Welfare of all colleagues
  • Fire Warden
  • Attend PCN meetings in person or virtually
  • Attend PPG meetings alongside the Partners
  • SEA reports with the help of Partners or Senior Management Team
  • Assist with staff scheduling, resource allocation, and workload distribution to optimise performance in the event of sickness or holidays
  • Work alongside clinicians, administrators and implement solutions
  • Compile reports for the Partners and Senior Management Team on issues, compliments and suggested areas of improvement
  • Identify operational issues/solutions
  • Monitor patient volume and service demands to adjust staffing and resources proactively
  • Promote a positive work culture
  • Work alongside all department leads and supervisors to support them
  • Overseeing any other reasonable duties

Requirements

Must be local to the East Midlands Area and have minimum of 1 year Operational Management experience. NHS or GP Practice management preferable.
