Location: Gloucester | Salary: £33,000 per annum | Type: Permanent, On-site

Job Description

Flame Health Pharmacy are delighted to partner with an expanding, technology-driven pharmacy group seeking a qualified Accuracy Checking Technician to join their modern, high-performance dispensary in Gloucester. This is a unique opportunity for an ACT who enjoys delivering high-quality patient care while working at the cutting edge of pharmacy automation, service delivery, and operational efficiency.

The Role

  • Perform final accuracy checks on NHS and private prescriptions in line with GPhC and SOP requirements.
  • Deliver a broad range of pharmacy services to patients and customers, supporting the Responsible Pharmacist.
  • Work hands-on with a new cloud-based robotic dispensing system, enhancing speed, accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
  • Contribute to the optimisation of digital and automated processes across the dispensary.
  • Support the delivery of pharmacy services including MDS, repeat management, health promotion, and private services.
  • Maintain compliance standards across SOPs, documentation, audits, and near-miss reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager and wider team to refine processes and service pathways.
  • Mentor, train and support dispensers and assistants within a positive, development-focused culture.
  • Help shape the evolution of a growing, forward-thinking pharmacy by contributing ideas that improve patient experience and operational quality.

About You

  • Registered Accuracy Checking Technician
  • Strong knowledge of UK pharmacy legislation, checking protocols, workflow, and compliance requirements.
  • Confident working with automated or digital dispensing solutions (training provided on robotic systems).
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and a patient-first mindset.
  • Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • A proactive communicator and team player who is keen to support colleagues and contribute to continual improvement.
