Job Description

As part of the Estates Department, the Facilities Manager will line manage a team of Facilities Assistants and manage the delivery of our contracted services to maintain a secure and well-maintained campus environment.
Key responsibilities include implementing and managing FM service strategies, overseeing daily operations such as cleaning, maintenance, H&S, and minor works projects and refurbishments. Additionally, they will collaborate with the Campus Manager to monitor and report on service partner performance against established SLAs and KPIs, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities management and strong team management experience.
- Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement across multiple fields.
- Experienced in representing Estates FM service operations at College meetings or similar (Building User Groups, College Health and Safety Committee and Project boards).
- Practical experience with using Helpdesk and CAFM software.
- An IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced in undertaking incident management, control duties and escalations.
Please note this is a 100% on-site role and is not suitable for hybrid or remote working. The successful applicant will be required to pass an Enhanced DBS check, as the role involves working in a young adult environment.
