The Company’s trading activities cover more than 100 products.

Who You Are / Your Next Challenge

As part of our expansion into metals trading, [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Junior Metals Trader, Copper / Trader, Copper. This role is ideal for a base metal professional with prior trading experience. Based in our London, Charing Cross office, you will report to the Trading Manager, Copper and support day-to-day management of the global copper trading book.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Trading Manager with daily management of the global copper trading book, including positions, exposures and P&L.
  • Produce accurate daily exposure and position reports.
  • Assist with hedging activities and profit/loss analysis.
  • Capture new trades, update positions and ensure system accuracy.
  • Analyse market trends and price movements.
  • Identify arbitrage opportunities and propose derivative strategies.
  • Liaise with internal teams (Risk, Operations, Treasury, etc.).
  • Execute trades under supervision.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous trading experience in physical and derivatives copper market.
  • Track record of generating revenue.
  • Pre-existing network amongst copper consumers.
  • Good understanding of copper markets and regulations.
  • Proficient analytical and numerical skills.
  • Competent communicator and relationship builder.
