The Company’s trading activities cover more than 100 products.
Who You Are / Your Next Challenge
As part of our expansion into metals trading, [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Junior Metals Trader, Copper / Trader, Copper. This role is ideal for a base metal professional with prior trading experience. Based in our London, Charing Cross office, you will report to the Trading Manager, Copper and support day-to-day management of the global copper trading book.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Trading Manager with daily management of the global copper trading book, including positions, exposures and P&L.
- Produce accurate daily exposure and position reports.
- Assist with hedging activities and profit/loss analysis.
- Capture new trades, update positions and ensure system accuracy.
- Analyse market trends and price movements.
- Identify arbitrage opportunities and propose derivative strategies.
- Liaise with internal teams (Risk, Operations, Treasury, etc.).
- Execute trades under supervision.
What we’re looking for
- Previous trading experience in physical and derivatives copper market.
- Track record of generating revenue.
- Pre-existing network amongst copper consumers.
- Good understanding of copper markets and regulations.
- Proficient analytical and numerical skills.
- Competent communicator and relationship builder.
