About the Role
As a Trainee QA Test Analyst, you will support the QA Testing team, shadowing members, testing system functionality, and studying towards a professional qualification. Key responsibilities include:
- Work with the team to ensure quality of testing
- Collaborate with departments for testing
- Maintain and execute manual test cases
- Identify test cases for automation
- Conduct defect management and analysis
- Ensure Risk Based Testing
- Provide input into test estimates and reports
- Attend Analysis/Design Review meetings
- Provide test support post-implementation
- Maintain compliance with FCA rules
- Communicate progress
- Adhere to governance
- Actively study for a professional qualification

Apprenticeship
Through the Level 4 Software Tester apprenticeship, you will learn Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, ISTQB Foundation, test planning, and reporting. By the end, you'll achieve Level 4 Software Tester plus ISTQB Foundation Certificate. Duration: ~16 months.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old by 1st Sept 2026
- UK/EEA citizen or lived in UK/EEA continuously for last 3 years
- Eligible to work in UK and not in full-time education
- Achieved or predicted level 3 qualification (e.g., A-levels) in 2026
- Maths and English GCSE A*-C (9-4)
- Must not hold existing qualification at same or higher level in similar subject
- Basic understanding of coding desirable
