About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Operational Resilience, the Trainee Operational Resilience Analyst will support the ongoing management and delivery of the firm’s Business Continuity Planning and Management, providing guidance and support to relevant teams in emergencies to ensure successful recovery with minimal impact on the business and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance of our Resilience Framework, testing schedule and testing results
- Support key processes such as the Operational Resilience Self-Assessment
- Review and maintain our Important Business Services including resource mapping
- Ensure ability to recover from a Disaster in a timely fashion
- Deputise on the Crisis Management Team during service interruptions
- Assist with Business Impact Analysis and identify single points of failure
- Create a comprehensive programme of resilience testing and validation
- Support creation of DR runbooks and scenario testing
- Work with third parties to improve resilience testing
- Ensure plans and documents are updated
- Support audits and prepare Board/Executive reports
- Identify and assess Operational Resilience risks

About the Apprenticeship
You will develop technical knowledge and professional skills through the Resilience and Emergency Professional apprenticeship, achieving a BSc Resilience and Emergencies Professional degree and Level 6 apprenticeship. The programme typically takes 40 months and requires mandatory on-campus attendance at Coventry University (travel and accommodation funded).
Requirements
- At least 18 years old by 1st September 2026
- UK/EEA citizen or lived in UK/EEA continuously for last 3 years
- Eligible to work in the UK and not in full-time education
- Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) grades A* to C (9 to 4)
- 112 UCAS tariff points (BBC at A-level) or equivalent Level 3 qualification
- Must not hold an existing qualification at same or higher level in similar subject
