Job Description

Our Buying team provides group-wide procurement services to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Ltd and its wider group companies. Reporting directly to the Head of Buying, your primary responsibility will be to support the Senior Buying team in the day-to-day execution of their duties, with a particular focus on reporting and general procurement activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the upkeep of the Approved Suppliers list
  • Support the introduction of new material suppliers and components.
  • Assist with annual enquires for Stationary, PPE, Site Consumables
  • Manage all parcel movements to and from HQ
  • Assist with all Sustainability & Environmental reporting in relation to Buyer purchases
  • Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations for management
  • Liaise with other departments and provide an effective procurement process
  • Maintain accurate records of pricing, purchases and other important data
  • Assist with the sending out of enquiries and preparing of purchase orders
  • Any other duties as required by management.

Education/Experience

  • Experience in purchasing within a Construction environment is preferred but not essential.
  • IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to interact with all project personnel.
  • Well organised with a methodical. energetic, proactive, and confident approach to work.
  • Ability to work to deadlines individually and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility with regards to site location within the UK & Ireland
  • Candidates should have the appropriate work permit or the right to work in the UK.
