Job Description
We are currently looking for an FMCG Production Supervisor with specific track record of working within labour intensive food packhouses to join our multi-skilled, talented team in Atherstone-on-Stour! Public transport within close proximity unavailable. [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] maybe able to introduce colleagues for transport sharing in case private transport unavailable. Hours of Work: Fixed, 5 shifts of 10 hours across 7 days, 7am-5pm.
Duties
- Supervisory responsibility for a team of production line leaders and warehouse team leaders ensuring that all operational and warehouse activities are completed accurately, concisely and to the required standards of quality, legality and safety. A key part of the role is to coordinate the activities of the warehouse and packhouse ensuring continuity of supply and timely order output in compliance with product specification. The role requires the effective management of staff including the organisation of people, materials, labels, operational throughput and packaging.
- To ensure that all information and systems required for the accuracy and ongoing effectiveness of the Prophet data input system is managed correctly and to the required standards.
- Ensure effective housekeeping and safety standards are maintained.
- Cross train and develop staff, provide support and ensure that team members are instructed and supervised effectively.
Requirements
- Previous experience within manual handling, chilled, short shelf life food packhouse environment in a FMCG supervisory capacity essential.
- Experience of ERP systems including data input, reconciliation and reports.
- Computer literate to an intermediate standard with particular requirements for MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- An understanding of retail supply chain logistics.
- Educated to national QCF level 4 in an academic or relevant vocational qualification.
- Level 3 Supervising Food Safety in Manufacturing.
- Health & Safety for Food Handlers / for Supervisors.
- To live within a commuting distance.
