Are you an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Based in Bristol’s Wapping Wharf, our office is ideally located amongst the local heritage and cultural amenities. Our welcoming and diverse team is working on some of the most prestigious and innovative projects in Bristol, across the UK and around the world.

From cutting-edge manufacturing and industrial facilities like the Manufacturing Technology Centre to long-standing government and defence contracts such as Aspire Defence, and from award-winning education developments to major new residential communities, we are supporting schemes across a huge range of sectors.

An opportunity has arisen within [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Building Services Bristol, for the position of Senior Electrical Engineer. Working as a key member of the team, you will be provided with the autonomy to design Electrical services in many sectors of the industry and be client facing, representing the Company.

To fulfil this role, you will need to be degree qualified, or in the process of obtaining your degree (or equivalent), demonstrate suitable design experience in the building services sector (preferably across a variety of sectors) and be an effective communicator, both verbally and in the production of reports and specifications.

Key Requirements

  • Experience in using recognised design software tools such as REVIT and ideally exposure to MagiCAD
  • Great communication skills that can adapt both to external parties and clients but also within the team
  • Understand project needs and be able to manage the full delivery
  • Recognised qualifications in Electrical services design and either working towards Chartered Status, or have an interest in doing so
  • Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team in support to deliver projects
  • Experience of people management is desirable
  • Future flexibility for regular co-operation, travel and inter-office working
  • In house expertise for Electrical enquiries

Within [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] we now carry out our projects in the 3D environment and are rolling out StabiCAD design tool across all offices. While a detailed knowledge of this software is not essential (training will be provided) an awareness of working in a 3D environment is, as is a knowledge of cable sizing and lighting design software.
