Your Mission

You'll be the engine room of our procurement team - managing daily orders, chasing suppliers, keeping production moving, and building the relationships that make it all work. This isn't just processing POs. You'll get hands-on with the full supply chain - from sourcing veg and spices to managing packaging and services - while working directly with NPD, Warehouse, Data Science, and Marketing teams across the business.

  • Day-to-day (60-70%): Raise purchase orders and confirm delivery dates with suppliers; Chase orders, manage lead times, and ensure timely deliveries; Manage stock levels for consumables and flag supply chain risks early; Keep Fishbowl (our inventory system) accurate and up to date.
  • Strategic stuff (30-40%): Build strong supplier relationships and explore new supply chain opportunities; Spot improvements and contribute ideas to make procurement more efficient; Support due diligence on suppliers and help build department resilience; Tackle critical last-minute requests and business-critical supply chain challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase Order Creation & Management: Accurately create and process purchase orders for a wide range of SKUs.
  • Delivery & Supplier Management: Confirm delivery dates with suppliers, proactively chase orders, and follow up on logistics to ensure on-time, in-full deliveries.
  • Internal Communication: Provide timely updates to the Goods-In team and other internal stakeholders regarding delivery schedules.
  • Master Data Management: Set up new part numbers in the system and manage new supplier data with high attention to detail.
  • Category Ownership: Take full ownership of the consumable supply chain, managing it from end to end.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively support and contribute to improvement initiatives across the site and within the procurement function.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Work collaboratively with team members across the business and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.

Requirements

What you'll bring...

  • Experience: Previous experience in a procurement, manufacturing, or administrative role is preferred, but more importantly, we are looking for the right attitude and a genuine eagerness to learn.
  • Core Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures meticulously. Excellent communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) - this is essential. Resilience and the ability to prioritise a busy workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desirable (but not essential): Experience with inventory management systems (like Fishbowl). Familiarity with or an interest in using AI tools to improve procurement processes. A foundational understanding of supplier relationship management.
  • Personal Attributes: You are reliable, punctual, and a strong team player. You are not afraid to ask questions and are excited by the prospect of building a career in procurement. You thrive in a busy environment and see challenges as opportunities to learn.
