About The Role

Please note that not all schools will have placements available. Please only apply for one vacancy. All successful applicants need an enhanced DBS/PVG check.
Counsellors on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework, counsellors are dedicated to improving mental health.
- [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] provides high-level support through regular supervision, tailored training workshops, and a well-recognised clinical placement.
- Comprehensive induction programme; clinical supervision at end of each day.
- Available for a minimum of one day per week for one-to-one counselling with up to 3 children.
- Placements are term-time only for one academic year; opportunities to stay beyond.
- Optional workshops for CPD.
- Clinical hours accepted towards professional accreditation (BACP, UKCP).
- A placement is an excellent stepping stone; over ⅔ of clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal].
- Places available in primary and secondary schools nationwide.
About You
You will be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist or studying towards one of these professions at Diploma (Level 4+) or Degree/MSc/MA level.
