[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is one of the UK's leading food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and restaurants. Our advanced manufacturing site in Dudley, West Midlands, employs over 350 talented individuals.

The HR Officer serves as a business partner and a key member of the Human Resources Team, working closely with HR team members, leadership, and employees to ensure all people-related aspects of the workforce lifecycle are professionally delivered and compliant with legal and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide appropriate HR advice on disciplinary, grievance, and capability in line with employment law and company policies.
  • Support managers in hearings and investigations.
  • Ensure consistent application of the attendance procedure and provide absence management advice.
  • Collaborate with managers to manage headcount and assist recruitment processes.
  • Support learning and development initiatives to enhance employee and managerial capabilities.
  • Produce KPI information and act as point of contact for colleague queries.

Requirements

  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
  • CIPD qualified or part-qualified (Level 5).
  • Experience in a manufacturing or fast-paced organisation in an HR role.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR packages.
  • Ability to manage conflict, work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality.
