About the Role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is one of the UK’s leading food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and restaurants. We manage our entire supply chain from farms to factory.

Purpose of the role: To create specifications for a range of customers, review and approve artwork, ensure deadlines are met with accuracy. The role is predominantly office based with factory visits. Working Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00. Travel across Midlands sites (Dudley/Telford/Wednesbury) required.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete finished product specifications and approve artwork in accordance with critical paths.
• Work alongside Ingredients and Packaging Specifications Technologist to approve raw material and packaging specifications.
• Work closely with NPD to integrate with NPD launch process.
• Internal liaison for Site Technical and external liaison for retail customers.

What We Are Looking For

• Food related Further Education qualification
• Experience of writing food specifications with knowledge of major retailers' online specification systems and critical paths
• Experience of retailer artwork approval systems and in-depth knowledge of the Food Information for Consumers Regulation
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to organise workload to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels
• Full Driving License

Desirable: Food related HND/Degree, Food labelling qualification.
