About the Role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] have an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, reputable business as a Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team with a great support structure for employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing materials, operating the Counterbalance Forklift, using hand scanners and computer systems.

Requirements

Duties:

  • Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety
  • Operate forklift trucks (both Counterbalance and Reach)
  • Manage materials handling processes, including sorting, stacking, and storing items
  • Order picking using hand scanners in a timely manner for dispatch
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, tracking inventory and producing invoices
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

Skills:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment with knowledge of materials handling procedures
  • Confidence in basic computer and scanner systems
  • Proficient in operating forklift trucks; valid certification preferred or an opportunity to learn this skill
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Basic mathematical skills for measuring, counting, and recording quantities accurately
  • A strong work ethic, the right attitude and a want to grow within the business and develop skills with training provided

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday, 11am - 8pm, 40 hours a week

Salary:

Starting rate of £13.17 per hour, with an increase after 3 months.
