Role Overview
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] group is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Foundation Department at Slough and Langley College on a part-time, term-time basis. This is a maternity cover position. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will enable students at various college campuses to access the curriculum fully, assisting them in achieving their learning goals. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will support teaching, learning, and related activities under the direction of educational staff. Responsibilities include assisting with planning and evaluating learning activities, supporting both individuals and groups, maintaining confidential records, and collaborating with pastoral staff to help students overcome learning challenges.
Key Requirements
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (essential)
- Positive outlook and ability to develop rapport with students and staff
- Flexibility in working across different curriculum departments
- Experience in educational or support environments (desirable), particularly supporting individuals with Autism and Dyslexia
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to student development
- Adherence to college policies including safeguarding, data protection, and health and safety
