The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced candidate to join us as a Senior Lecturer in Law. This role is ideal for a candidate with academic skills and substantial experience supervising students in a legal advice setting, particularly within a university law clinic environment. You will play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality teaching and mentoring our students in both academic and practical aspects of law as well as supporting less-experienced colleagues.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience supervising students within a university law clinic
  • Expertise in two or more of: mental health law, conveyancing, medical law, property law, or asylum and immigration
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, student-focused teaching across lectures, seminars, and assessments
  • Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (or equivalent)
  • Experience in curriculum development and mentoring colleagues desirable
  • Solicitor or Barrister with practicing certificates, or a relevant PhD alongside substantial student supervision in a Law Clinic
