The Team

The role sits within the Student Recruitment & Widening Participation Team which consists of a team of 13 staff and circa 150 Student Ambassadors.

The Role

The Student Recruitment Team plays a significant role in the recruitment of students to the University. They organise and deliver key internal events such as Open Days and Decision Days, which require coordinating staff members from across the University. They also organise school and college visits and attend external recruitment events such as UCAS and UKUS fairs and events at schools and colleges.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Project work and ability to develop positive relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Working with data and contributing to devising strategies for student recruitment
  • Managing a portfolio of external schools and colleges with a focus on developing relationships and increasing applications
  • Strong presenter and communicator, able to provide high-quality Information Advice and Guidance to young people
  • Willingness to work unsociable hours, including some weekends, and travel across the UK
