Senior Lecturer or Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education (Secondary)
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic full time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education (Secondary), able to teach either Mathematics or Religious Education. This is a permanent, full-time position based in York.
The Role
The post holder will contribute to our Professional Studies programme, teach in a variety of settings, provide pastoral and academic support, and liaise with partnership schools. There is an expectation to work towards a doctoral qualification if not already possessed, and to join a research development group.
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Secondary school teaching experience
- Experience with ITE students/programmes
- Ability to teach Mathematics or Religious Education
- Knowledge of professional studies (e.g. SEND)
- Doctorate or willingness to work towards
- Research active desirable
