Vehicle Technician - Stamford

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Vehicle Technician for our Stamford location. This is a full-time permanent role, Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:30pm, with a half-day finish on Saturday. Salary depends on experience.

Join [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and be part of a team that values quality service. As a Vehicle Technician, you will perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles to DVSA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles to ensure road worthiness and reliability to DVSA standards.
  • Use of dealer-level and generic diagnostic equipment to assist in time-efficient repairs.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance in line with manufacturer standards and schedules.
  • Discussing required repairs with customers.
  • Calculating the expected time and cost of vehicle work.
  • Maintaining health and safety standards.
  • Completing job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork to a high standard.
  • Undertaking additional duties for efficient running of the store.
  • Carrying out administration duties and stock checks as required.

Requirements

  • Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, OR time served experience.
  • Must have a full driver’s licence with no more than 9 points.
  • Experience of delivering interim, full, and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension, steering, air con service, etc.).
