About the Role

As a Sales Assistant, you'll support your store team in driving sales performance and the day-to-day running of the store, delivering exceptional customer service to optimise KPI performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting team to meet/exceed targets.
  • Deliver exceptional market-leading customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty.
  • Offer a VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with product updates and tastings.
  • Sell the story, not the discount; share passion for product through in-depth knowledge.
  • Take ownership of wine knowledge and pursue WSET qualification.
  • Maintain store appearance both internally and externally.
  • Handle operational tasks: delivering wine, merchandising stock, calling customers.
  • Identify improvements for operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and training.
  • As a key holder, manage opening/closing compliance and operate store without management.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Excellent time-management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Self-motivated, able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Can-do attitude with passion for problem-solving.
  • Adaptable and resilient to business demands.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Wine knowledge beneficial; passion to learn essential (WSET Level 2).
  • Full UK manual driving licence held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
