The Role

As a Sales Assistant you’ll be supporting your store team with driving sales performance and the day-to-day running of your store. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service and experience to optimise KPI performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities. Support your team on meeting and exceeding targets through focusing on KPI delivery.
• Deliver exceptional market leading customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty & repeat purchases.
• Offer VIP concierge service by actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
• Sell the story not the discount with in-depth product knowledge.
• Take ownership for wine knowledge, constantly learning to support WSET qualification.
• Take accountability for physical appearance and maintenance of the store.
• Involvement in all operational tasks: delivering wine, merchandising stock, calling customers.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and feed back to the team.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and mandatory training.
• Be a role model for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s Ways of Working and support junior team members.
• As a key holder, understand opening/closing compliance and operate the store without management.

Knowledge & Skills Required

• Excellent time-management, delegation and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Self-motivated, able to work alone and as part of a team.
• A can-do attitude with passion for problem-solving.
• Adaptable and resilient to meet changing demands.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Wine knowledge beneficial, passion to learn essential for WSET level 2.
• Hold a full UK manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

• Hours: 30 Hours Per Week
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends
• Driving is essential – full UK manual licence held for at least 12 months required
