Salary - £37,477 - £46,847 per annum
Hours - Full-time, 40 hours per week
Location - National Travel (Home-based, with training predominantly delivered in the South of England)

As a Driver Trainer at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you will play a vital role in ensuring our drivers are informed, trained, and compliant with company standards and legal requirements. You will deliver high-quality transport-related training across our Collections and Treatment divisions, predominantly within the South of England, while supporting our health, safety, and operational excellence goals.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Delivering training predominantly across depots and sites located in the South of England (with occasional national travel as required)
  • Delivering structured and effective driver training and assessments (e.g. DCPC, vehicle checks, tachographs, manual handling, reversing assistant training)
  • Supporting depot-based in-cab trainer/assessor initiatives
  • Identifying national training needs across the fleet
  • Maintaining accurate training records for all drivers and in-scope employees
  • Ensuring compliance with company SHEQ policies and promoting a culture of health, safety and environmental awareness
  • Staying current with relevant legislation and training requirements
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of training initiatives and materials

What Are We Looking For?

  • Up-to-date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC)
  • Experience in HGV vocational driving and transport legislation
  • A current UK driving licence for relevant vehicle classes
  • Experience delivering training to groups (PTLLS or equivalent preferred)
  • Assertive, self-motivated and confident with excellent communication skills
  • IT literate (MS Office: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
  • Flexible to travel nationally and work occasional weekends

Desirable:

  • Transport Manager CPC
  • Driving assessor qualifications
