Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Job Details

As an LGV Driver (C / C+E) at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you will play a key role in delivering a safe, efficient and professional service across our Mid & East Kent contract and off-taker sites. You will be responsible for operating LGV vehicles to the highest standards while promoting excellent health, safety and environmental practices at all times.

This is a full-time position, working as part of a supportive and experienced transport team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving allocated LGV vehicles (C / C+E) safely and efficiently across Mid & East Kent and associated sites
  • Ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks, reporting defects, and ensuring vehicles and equipment are maintained in a safe condition
  • Complying with all applicable legislation, including driver hours, working time directives and environmental permits
  • Completing and returning all required documentation accurately and on time, including tachograph records and defect reports
  • Reporting accidents, incidents and near misses in line with company procedures
  • Communicating effectively with the Transport Office and colleagues to support smooth operations
  • Promoting a professional image both on and off the highway
  • Undertaking any other reasonable duties as required by the contract or line management

Requirements

  • A clean LGV licence for the relevant category (C or C+E)
  • Digital driver card and Driver Qualification Card (CPC) – essential
  • Good understanding of road haulage, driver hours and working time regulations
  • Previous RORO, hookloader or drawbar experience (desirable, but not essential – full training provided)
  • Strong awareness of health, safety and environmental compliance
  • A flexible, reliable, and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A professional, resilient and safety-conscious attitude
