Department Overview

The Global FIX Implementations Team is part of the Production Services organisation. It is responsible for client and broker FIX onboarding for equities, options and futures order flows. The global team is comprised of three regional teams (EMEA, Americas and Asia, based in London, New York and Hong Kong). While the respective teams are aligned with regional businesses, they test, certify and onboard global flows/products.

Role Overview

This position is on the EMEA FIX Implementations team. The team is primarily, but not exclusively, focused on onboarding European client and broker flows, predominantly for equities. EMEA FIX Implementations manages FIX connectivity requests for European businesses and works closely with Asia and Americas FIX Implementations colleagues to operate as a global team.

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required

  • Extensive FIX onboarding experience: ideally in bank/broker and vendor (O/EMS, FIX) environments; across high-touch, PT and electronic (DMA/algo) flow types; with FIX-In and FIX-Out connectivity.
  • Subject matter expertise in the FIX Protocol (4.2, 4.4).
  • Strong understanding of, and ideally experience of implementing, O/EMS considerations and requirements for onboarding (e.g. third-party algo screen building and certification).
  • Working knowledge of UNIX and XML.
  • Knowledge of global equities onboarding and regional nuances/considerations (preferred).
  • Futures and Options onboarding experience (preferred).
