Job Description

Looking for qualified, experienced Car, Van & HGV mechanics (day and night shifts available)

Day hours: Dayshift 40hrs/week Monday – Friday flexible shift between the hours of 06:30 – 18:30 with a half day Saturday AM optional. Starting at £17.13 to £22.94/hr plus optional overtime @ x1.5 above 40hrs for the week. PSV/HGV Driver training provided. Optional to train and qualify over to HGV work and pay structure with Mercedes-Benz structured training.

Night hours: 46hrs/week Monday – Thursday four nights rotating to Tuesday – Friday every two weeks. Starting at £23.49 to £27.53/hr. PSV/HGV Driver training provided.

Due to increased workload, [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are looking for the right people to join our Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle franchised business at Commercial Road, Darwen, BB3 0DB on the Blackburn with Darwen services M65 Jct 4. We are currently looking for new members to complement our team of existing highly qualified long serving members working in our fully equipped HGV ATF/ Class 7 MOT workshop.

Essential Criteria

• Qualified to C&G or NVQ level 3 in motor vehicle, maintenance and repair or equivalent
• Previous experience in maintaining and repairs to MOT Standard.
• Driving licence <6 points
• Self-motivated
• Team player
• Hard working and the ability to work under pressure in a safe and responsible manner
• Organised work ethic and able to work to a high standard
• Reliable and punctual

Desirable Criteria

• Previous Mercedes-Benz experience
• HGV/ PSV drivers licence
• High voltage qualifications
