Founding AI Developer Relations
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Founding AI Developer Relations professional to lead the growth of its API business. This hybrid role is based in London or Amsterdam.
About the company
At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], our mission is to make video creation accessible to anyone. No hard-to-use equipment, painful learning curve, or keeping track of multiple subscriptions to take your ideas from record → share. With [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you can do this with a single tool. In just a few years, we’ve gone from one user to millions. From no revenue to $45M+ ARR. From bootstrapped to backed by Sequoia. From a team of two to a team of 180+. And we’re seeking more talented, motivated and entrepreneurial individuals to join our growing team.
Where And How We Work
At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] we are hybrid, enabling teams and individuals to design their day and integrate work and life. For our London, Amsterdam, and Barcelona-based teammates, we ask that you spend 3 days a week in the office during your first 6 months — it’s the best way to connect, collaborate, and get to know your team. After that, you’ll shift to 1 day a week in the office, with flexibility to choose the day that suits you best.
About the role
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] recently started building its own APIs, and the traction has been HUGE. Our Fabric 1.0 image-to-video lipsync model is already integrated as the model of choice for industry leaders like ElevenLabs, Freepik, and many more. We’re now looking for a Founding AI Developer Relations professional to be the nucleus of our API business, bridging the gap between our API GM, the research engineers, our marketing team, and our customers. You’ll play a pivotal role in building an early stage business inside of the wider [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] business, where no two days will be the same. We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable talking to the Developer community about the technical specs of our models as they are giving talks at industry events and diving deep with our engineers on the latest research outcomes.
What you'll do
- Reporting to the GM of our API business ([Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s COO), you’ll work end-to-end on our API product: from partnering with our AI research engineers on the development of our models, to managing the launch of them to market with our marketplace partners. You’ll be a critical partner also in selling to customers (with the GTM team) and then monitoring our customers’ success
- Represent [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] in the developer community, at industry events, etc.
- Become the key partner for our marketplace relationships (e.g. fal.ai, Replicate)
- Partner with Company / Product leadership on building out the API vision for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]
- Use qualitative and quantitative insights (user research, revenue & usage data, etc) to identify opportunities and measure impact
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the API team and business, including Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Legal to drive our API business forwards
- Partner with our Engineering teams on our GPU strategy, as we look to be able to serve APIs to customers directly
What you bring
- Proficiency in understanding technical / research concepts and languages related to AI model training, as well as knowledge of the GPU universe (existing relationships helpful but not required)
- Passion for the early-stage journey - you will be fully focused on our brand new API business, so 0 → 1 / 1 → 10 experience is what we’re looking for. Former or future founders highly encouraged to apply.
- You’re revenue driven and able to think commercially & quantitatively - we’re trying to build the next pillar of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s revenue growth journey
- You enjoy working cross-functionally and know how to collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and researchers
- You are able to break complex technical concepts & issues down in ways that non-technical stakeholders can understand
- You are equally comfortable diving deep into technical AI concepts as you are at networking events with non-technical CEOs
- No job is too small for you - this is a role where rolling your sleeves up is the daily expectation, and in early stage work that can look extremely different every day
What we offer
- Monthly subsidy programme: Everyone values different things, so we give you a monthly allowance to spend how it suits you best — whether that’s on office furniture, childcare, gym memberships, or anything else that makes your life easier.
- Unlimited paid holidays: Time with family, friends, or just yourself is priceless.
- Home office set-up: We make sure your home office is fully equipped with everything you need — laptop, monitors, headsets, keyboards, and more — so you can work comfortably and creatively.
- Mental health benefit: We’ve partnered with Spill to offer confidential mental health support to all our team members.
- Equity: When [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] wins, you win. Our stock options let you share in the company’s growth and be a part of our journey.
Even if you don’t have every skill listed here, we encourage you to apply. We value curiosity, drive, and the ability to learn just as much as existing expertise.
We think what matters is people. After all, a company is just a group of people. We don’t care about where you’re from, what school you went to or where you worked before. If you’ve done exceptional work, we want to hear from you. Join us on our mission to make creative storytelling with video simple and accessible for everyone.
By submitting this application, I agree that my personal data will be collected, processed, and retained by the company solely for the purposes of managing and assessing my candidacy.
